HOW DO THE PARTIES WORK?
Our artist (usually Dennis) comes to your party, uses chairs provided.
The artist needs about five minutes to set up his equipment.
The first person to be drawn sits, about six feet away. The artist starts drawing.
The artwork is produced as quickly as possible, and usually brings a crowd to
watch, waiting for their own drawing. The artist will work as quickly as feasible,
for the hours specified in your contract, then gently closes the line,
drawing for an extra few minutes past the Stop Time.

CAN WE EXTEND THE TIME?
Sure! Just tell your artist.
As the host or hostess you must ask in person,
to authorize the expense.

SHOULD WE TIP?
Guests should NOT tip the artist!
We are well paid and your guests should not be compelled to pay extra.
Hosts often insist on tipping Dennis at the end of their event;
please do not feel obligated!

WHAT IF WE ARE UNHAPPY?
Dennis Porter has never drawn at a dull party,
so that would be a first!
BUT if that ever happens
please, please tell Dennis, right away, at the event,
the moment you feel uncomfortable.
No problem!
He will find a way to satisfy your discomfort.
Your party is a big deal to you, and it is to us as well.
We very much want it to be a success.

HOW MANY WILL BE DRAWN?
Dennis is one of the fastest caricaturists in the world.
You will find most of his face and collar drawings are two minutes or less. But the
unavoidable time between subjects means you can figure on about 25 or so per
hour being finished. For body action, about 16 to 20 per hour.
These are estimates, of course.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SET UP?
Two or three chairs (to sketch couples) and maybe a small table.
PLEASE place the artist away from excessive noise if you can!
Normal room lighting will be fine.

WHAT IF WE NEED MORE ENTERTAINERS?
We schedule a select group of other artists and entertainers and can likely take

IS THERE A MINIMUM INVESTMENT FOR TRADE SHOWS?

Usually, yes -- each show is unique!

Trade shows are often lots of hours over several days,
and we will quote a price reflecting a discount for all that time.

We must quote a fee per show, which will include imprinted drawing paper,
crowd-attracting performances and other benefits for your event,
tailored to meet your specific needs.
